Upon first listening to the lyrics, it will sound like a wanderer searching for answers in life, and will return to an awaiting partner when the questions are resolved. But the song is really about a New Encoding Pattern in Esoteric Acupuncture entitled The Hun Follow the Shen. The Hun is often translated in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as the Ethereal Soul. Unlike the Corporeal Soul that does not survive the death of the physical vehicle, the Ethereal Soul does not dissipate with the extinguishing of one’s Mingmen Fire and the dissolution of the physical vehicle.

In Esoteric Acupuncture, the definition of Hun is greatly expanded and encompasses very refined frequency levels of consciousness of varying degrees and densities. Esoteric Wind is infused within these planes of higher consciousness. The most refined consciousness level of Hun originated from the plane of one’s Original Hun.

In the lyrics “When the leaves green I’ll be coming home,” green refers to the liver system in Chinese Medicine. Also springtime is the season of the liver. This is the season of much revitalization and new energies, freshness in the air and transitioning from the denseness of the wintertime into the excitement of the spring. But the liver system is also considered the “bully” that controls anger, stubbornness, judgment and rigidity which influences the heart system in a negative manner.

The color green refers to the Anahata (Heart Chakra) in the Hindu system. In Esoteric Acupuncture, home refers to the Heart. Shen is defined as both spirit and mind. Only when the liver system matures enough to “bow down” and acknowledge the power of the feminine Heart will the Hun be able to Follow the Shen. The lyrics “I’ll be coming back home” means returning to the consciousness plane of one’s Original Shen. When describing planes of consciousness, Original Hun came after Original Shen. So an awakened Spirit of one’s Higher Hun will be able to follow the frequency back to one’s Original Shen, thus the Hun Follows the Shen.
